Why our area?
Padiham is an old Lancashire Town steeped in history due to its connection with the Cotton Industry and Local Coal Mining. With many historical sites such as Gawthorpe Hall formerly home to the Shuttleworth Family and now owned by The National Trust and leased by Lancashire County Council and within easy reach of Townley Hall in Burnley and Clitheroe Castle in the beautiful market town of Clitheroe. Padiham's location also means that you are in close proximity to the Ribble Valley, Trough of Bowland and many other areas of natural beauty such as the Peak District and Lake District National Park.
Padiham today, is a thriving Town, which with its ideal position to all major motorway networks gives you easy access to most Towns and Cities within the area, Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Bradford, Burnley, Blackburn to name but a few.
The Area has over the past few years benefited from both Government and European funding with its Conservation and town centre reaping the rewards. The town itself now has many facilities which include fashionable eateries, traditional Inns and shops which offer an extensive and varied range of products. There are a number of leisure facilities within a short distance of the town but Padiham has always had an excellent swimming pool, play areas and parks. There is a comprehensive range of schools available from Nursery all the way to Sixth Form College.
We at The Dwelling Place feel that Padiham is at the dawn of a bright new future, let us help you purchase a part of it.
